Clarence F. "Red" Moore's Obituary
Clarence F. "Red" Moore, 91, of Alliance, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11:00 p.m. at McCrea Manor. Born on November 16, 1917 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance all of his life and was a 1935 graduate of Alliance High School. Clarence was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired from Monarch Rubber Company, where he was employed as a supervisor. In his past-time, he enjoyed traveling with his late wife, Inez Moore. Survivors include a son, Terry (Cathy) Moore of Valencia, CA; two step-sons, Ralph (Kathy) Sponseller of LaGrange, KY and Richard (Monika) Sponseller of Clarkesville, TN; 12 step-grandchildren; 23 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth (Del) Ratliff of Canton; a brother, Pete (Katie) Moore of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife of 53 years, Inez G. (Miller) Moore; and his parents, Fred and Minnie (Renft) Moore. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, June 15, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Pamela Bruno of First Christian Church officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
