Clarence E. "Clancy" Milovich's Obituary
Former Alliance resident, Clarence E. "Clancy" Milovich, passed into eternal rest on June 2, 2011 at his home in California after a long illness. His family was in attendance with Hospice. Mr. Milovich was born August 22, 1936. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS William S. Wood. He was employed by the USDA as a Federal Meat Inspector working in Canton, Ohio, Fort Morgan, CO, and at Fort Hood Military Base in Watertown, N.Y. A 1955 graduate of Alliance High School, member of the football team, he also played drums and sang with Lou Naumoff and the Non-Profits Band and was a member of the Alliance Carnation Theater Players. While in California he was the drummer and singer with Dan Coviello and The Londonaires, the Profiteers, and played several gigs with Roger Miller and his band. Clancy loved big band music and enjoyed attending concerts by big band artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, and Count Basie to name a few. Mr. Milovich also coached and managed Culver City, CA Little League which his three sons participated and was president of the league for two years. Clancy is survived by his wife Cynthia (Sharpnack), sons John Byron (Catherine), Paul Eugene, Bruce Raymond, daughter Cheeri-Anne Pueblos (Richard); grandsons Garrett (Shaney), Tyler Raymond, David Paul; granddaughters Devynn, Ceanna, Darin and Nicole all of California and granddaughter Amanda and great grandson Brody Heath of Alabama. Mr. Milovich is also survived by sisters Anna Mae Furgiuele (Joseph), Agnes Rhue, sister-in-law Joyce Milovich and many nieces and nephews. Clancy leaves behind two very special families: The Ray Orlando Family, The William Offenbecher Family and many friends. He will be greatly missed and remain forever in our hearts. Clancy was preceded in death by his father Mike Milovich, his mother Annie Pauline (Estock) Belan, step-father, John Belan, brother Michael Milovich, and sisters Violet, Rae and Rose. Services for his California family are being held at the Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet, California, which are private. Officiating are Father Loue and Sister Paulia of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Funeral Services and burial in Alliance are pending at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
