Clara M. Paina's Obituary
Clara M. Paina, 85, of Alliance, died Monday, September 16, 2002 at 7:20 p.m. at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. Born in Midvale, Ohio on December 10, 1916, she had lived in Alliance most of her life. She retired as a line operator from the Alliance Manufacturing Company. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the St. Joseph's Funtastiks. She was also a member of the Trentino Alpine Club and the Alliance Democratic Club. Survivors include two sons and their spouses, Edward and Dee Paina of Sebring, and Ronald and Linda Paina of North Benton; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah Metzger of Plainfield, IL, and Margaret Lena Cox of Cadiz; four brothers, Louie Cerana of Tuscarawas, Lester Cerana of Gnadenhutten, Robert Cerana of Uhrichsville, and John Cerana of Vineland, NJ; several nieces and nephews; and many friends at Canterbury Villa. Preceding her in death were her husband, Edward B. Paina on March 29, 1984 (whom she married on March 26, 1937); her parents, Peo and Amelia (Bertolini) Cerana; one sister, Lenora Lenzo; and two brothers, Peo Cerana and Leo Cerana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, September 19, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
