Clara M. Fasone's Obituary
Clara Mae (McDonald) Fasone’s 91 year life began a new journey beyond this Earth to walk with her husband Joseph Fasone Sr. on May 3, 2017.
Clara was born Feb 28, 1926 in Shreve, Ohio to Osie and Leslie (MacDonald) Greegor.
Clara was a woman that defined the meaning of strong. Throughout her time on Earth, she survived a courageous battle with cancer, a brain tumor and fought dementia with dignity and grace.
She lived in Alliance, where she raised a loving family, which was the light of her eyes.
Clara loved traveling with her husband Joseph and they frequently visited Florida. Clara was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance where she volunteered at the church and at St. Joseph Catholic School.
She was a member of BPO Elk’s Auxiliary, their Degree Team and their Widow’s Group.
She is survived by her son Jospeh J. (Angela) Fasone of Alliance; her daughter, Karen (Ralph) Weaver of Frazeysburg, OH; grandchildren Vincent J. (Miguel) Fasone of Columbus, Teresa M. (Anthony) Caserta of Alliance, April A. (Scott) Boudreau of Blacklist, OH, and Anthony J. Keys of Reynoldsburg; four great-grandchildren; Bailee and Brinlee Keys, Gianna Marie Caserta and Anthony Joseph Caserta. Her family was the love of her life and she will be greatly missed by all of them.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Fasone Sr. on October 8, 2001; and her parents.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that if friends should desire, contributions may be sent to Alliance Hospice, 2461 W State St, Alliance, OH 44601.
