Chuck Searfoss Jr.'s Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Searfoss Jr., 71, of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, following a prolonged struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and a recent battle with Thyroid Cancer.
Born on July 4, 1945 in Alliance, Ohio to Charles W and Mary (Aquilo) Searfoss, he lived in Alliance for all of his life.
Chuck was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maximo, and was a 1964 graduate of Alliance High School.
Chuck found joy in woodworking and furniture building, was an avid fisherman and hunter, and liket to collect die cast fire trucks and cars. He loved his family and friends, and expecially liked spoiling his dogs.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Judy Ann (Hoover) Searfoss, whom he married on May 8, 1971; daughter, Heather (David) Searfoss-Allaire of Columbus, OH; brother, John (Anna Mae) Searfoss of Alliance, OH; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Mary Ann) Hoover of Alliance, OH and John “Bill” (Barbara) Hoover of Homeworth, OH; and several other nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maximo, with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri, as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Maximo.
