Christian Michael "Buddy" Berry's Obituary
Christian Berry, 11, of Alliance, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 5:12 p.m. He was born on February 28, 1998, in Canton, and lived in Alliance all of his life. Christian was a 6th grade student at Regina Coeli/St. Joseph Catholic School, where he was a Safety Patrol and belonged to Kids Who Care. Buddy was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and was also an Altar Server. He played baseball, soccer, and was a Michigan fan. "Go Blue!" Christian was our little engineer who could take anything apart and either put it back together or make something completely new from the parts. His very favorite holiday was the 4th of July and he loved fireworks. He was a free spirit and celebrated life everyday. Christian shared the gift of life through organ donation, and many lives will be touched and healed by his priceless gift. Buddy is survived by his parents, Ray and Kelli (Brooks) Berry, Jr.; sisters, Mackenzie Berry of the home and Brooke (Brian) Moore of Sebring; grandparents, Laura and Sam Brooks of Alliance, Dickie Lynn and Kellogg McMichael of Leesburg, FL, and Ray and Verna Lee Berry, Sr. of Sebring; great-grandmother, Mary Haynes of the home; a nephew, Brayden Moore; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may gather to celebrate Christian's life at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, from 9:00 -11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert and the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as con-celebrants. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
