Chester J. Fowler 's Obituary
Chester J. Fowler, 71, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2015.
Born on February 25, 1944 in Alliance, Ohio to Chester B. and Rosaleen (Crick) Fowler, he lived in Alliance for all of his life.
A graduate of Alliance High School, he was as member of Southside Church of God.
A veteran of Vietnam War, he served our country in Korea with the U.S. Army in the Military Police.
Chester retired from American Steel Foundry. He had also operated Chet's Ice & Water Service until 2002. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of Sebring Model Railroad Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Beth Ann Paulus of Alliance, OH; a son, Jason M. (Susan) Fowler of Limaville, OH; two grandchildren, William E. (Marlene) Parkison Jr. of Alliance, OH, Kayla R. Fowler of Limaville, OH; two great-grandchildren, Paige Marie Parkison, William Eugene Parkison, III; sister, Laura "Ginger" (Ralph) Diehl of Alliance, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Bonnie Lou (Hatton) Fowler, whom he married on August 6, 1964 and died on September 26, 2006; and his parents Chester B. and Rosaleen Fowler.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
His Funeral Service will be held at Southside Church of God on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00 am, with Pastor David Storlie, officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Southside Church of God.
