Charles C. "Bud" Walbourn's Obituary
Charles C. "Bud" Walbourn, 70, of Alliance, died on Monday, September 3, 2012 at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on June 29, 1942 in Alliance, he had lived in California for most of his life. Bud was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was devoted to his weekly adoration at St. Dominic Chapel. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #558. He retired as a biochemist and in his past-time, he enjoyed music, photography, walking, hiking and backpacking. Survivors include two nephews, R. Curtis (Linda) Sparling and Ronald (Marian) Slimak, both of Owasso, OK; and two cousins, William F. Yeagley, Jr, of Escondido, CA and Laura Yeagley of Alliance. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Mildred (Yeagley) Walbourn; two sisters, Mildred Kay Molina and Joann Sparling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Matthew M. Mankowski, as celebrant. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
