Charles E. "Charlie" Rupp's Obituary
Charles E. "Charlie" Rupp, 66, of Maximo, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2003, at 6:05 a.m. at Oakhill Manor. He was born November 30, 1936, in Maximo to the late Lawrence and Lucille (Polus) Rupp. Charlie retired from American Steel Foundries in 1986 after 31 years of service, as a mason's helper. He is survived by a son, Russell Rupp of Alliance; three step-sons, David Elliott, Steven and Scott Szieff, all of Alliance; two step-daughters, Laurel Longaberger of Panama City, FL, and Debbie Lambert of Alliance; six sisters, Loretta Wisse, Bernice Fernandez, Lillian White, Viola Warner, Mary Minor and Rita Hornsby, all of Alliance; four brothers, Frank Rupp of Illinois, Kenneth Rupp of Homeworth, Lawrence Rupp of Alliance, and Robert Rupp of Canton; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 15 years, Janet (Jones) Szieff Rupp on February 14, 1999; his son, Kevin Rupp on August 19, 2003; his parents; and two brothers, Eugene and Leonard Rupp. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, September 14, 2003, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 15, 2003, at 11 :00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Sams of the Alliance Evangelical Friends Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
