Charles Pinkerton's Obituary
Charles Pinkerton, 59, of Alliance and formerly of Deerfield, died on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at 12:00 noon at his home. Born in Alliance on March 29, 1946, he attended Marlington High School and had lived in the Alliance area most of his life. Mr. Pinkerton retired as a pipe fitter from American Steel Foundries after 30 years of service. He enjoyed helping John and Cindy Hayes at the Edinburg Auction. He was a member of the Wm. Penn Club and loved restoring cars. He is survived by his wife, Linda L. (Booth) Pinkerton (they were married on July 26, 1969); two daughters, Tina (Will) Wagner of Alliance and Pam (Mike) Coontz of Diamond; a son, Mike (Sandy) Pinkerton of Alliance; eight grandchildren, Michael Coontz III, Terra Coontz, Erikka Coontz, Tiffany and Brandon Abrams, William, Michael, and Travis Pinkerton; his mother, Georgia (Seidner) Shean of Kensington; three sisters, Peggy (Lyle) Cannon of Las Vegas, Jane (Bobby) Foster of Alliance, and Barb (Clyde) Monter of Kensington; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Elgie Pinkerton; his step-father, Paul Shean; and his brother, Robert Earl Pinkerton. Private services will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
