Charles A. "Chuck" Pinkerton's Obituary
Charles A. "Chuck" Pinkerton, 69, of Alliance, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Born on September 20, 1942 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance all of his life. He was a 1961 graduate of Alliance High School. He served our country in the U. S. Army Reserves. He retired from X-Press Print, where he was employed as a general manager. Chuck was an active member in a 12 step fellowship and a life member of the BPO Elks. He had also been formerly active with the Alliance Jaycees. In his past-time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing poker. Chuck was also a huge Indians & Buckeye fan. Survivors include his three children, Michelle Pinkerton of Mango, FL, Drew Pinkerton of Denver, CO and Melanie Pinkerton of Harrisburg, PA; a granddaughter, Tori Pinkerton of Mango, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his parents, William T. and Mary G. (Hahn) Pinkerton; and two brothers, Thomas Pinkerton and Richard Pinkerton. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Andrews of Union Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
