Charles Paina's Obituary
Charles Paina, 88, of Alliance, died on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at 11:45 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born January 21, 1918, in Homer City, Pennsylvania, to Frank and Mary (Bianchi) Paina and lived in Alliance most of his life. He retired from the Alliance Machine Company and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Kovach) Paina; three daughters, Barbara (Marconi) Lindenmayer of Alliance, Patricia (Paina) Williams of Alliance, and Jean (Paina) Ziegler, of Hubbard; three sons-in-law, Ernest Lindenmayer, Don Williams, and David Ziegler; two granddaughters, Kristin Ziegler and Jill (Ziegler) Helwig and her husband Ryan; one great granddaughter, Anna Helwig, of Cleveland; and a sister, Inez Paina, of Alliance. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Edward, Eugene and Aldo, all of Alliance. He is being remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Family was the most important aspect of his life and being surrounded by his family gave him the most pleasure. He will be missed. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
