Charles E. McClowry's Obituary
Chuck "Ace" McClowry Charles E. McClowry, Jr. 84, of Alliance, died on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. at Villa Maria in Alliance. Born on August 16, 1927 in Alliance, he was raised in Eagle Rock, CA. He lived in Alliance all of his adult life. A veteran of World War II, he served our country in the U. S. Army. He retired from the Morgan Engineering Co. Mr. McClowry was a life member of B.P.O Elks, #467. He was also a member of the American Legion, Post #166, VFW Post, #1036, and Sleepy Hollow Country Club. In his past-time, he enjoyed playing golf and traveling with his wife, and also an avid reader. Surviving him are three sons, Mike (Judi) McClowry of Alliance, Danny (Joe Cocozza) McClowry of Los Angeles, CA and Terry (Jo Merritt) McClowry of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Troy (Rachel) McClowry of Medina, OH, Derek (Amy) McClowry of Canton, Scott (Sandy) McClowry of Buffalo, NY & Mark (Vanessa) McClowry of North Syracuse, NY; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Colin, Ethan, Anna, Patrick, Ailey & Liliana. Preceding him in death was his wife, Pauline (Moore) McClowry, his parents, Charles E. and Lillian (Malacord) McClowry; and a half sister, Jeanine Dew. Private family services will be held. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
