Charles R. "Chuck" Graffice's Obituary
Charles R. "Chuck" Graffice, 85, of Alliance, died on Thursday, February 5, 2004, at 8:15 p.m. at McCrea Manor. Born in New London, OH, on January 8, 1919, he lived most of his life in Alliance. Chuck graduated from Alliance High School, and from the University of Chicago with a degree in traffic management. He retired from Transue and Williams where he was a traffic manager. He was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church. A US Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion Post #166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1036. He was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks #467, Loyal Order of Moose, a life member of Alliance Traffic Club, and a former Sleepy Hollow Country Club member. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Janice Graffice; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four step-brothers; four step-sisters; three brother-in-laws; and three sister- in-laws. He was preceded in death by his wife Edith (Addison) Graffice; his mother, Doris Harper; and his father, Harold Graffice. Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park. The Sharer- Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
