Charles M. "Chuck" Dennis' Obituary
Charles M. "Chuck" Dennis, 89, of Alliance, died on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at 4:00 a.m. at his home. Chuck was born on July 17, 1920 in Yellowcreek Twp., Columbiana Co., Ohio, and lived in Alliance most of his life. Mr. Dennis was a U. S. Navy veteran and retired from Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, where he was employed as a pipe fitter in the maintenance department. He attended the Alliance First Assembly of God Church and was a 65 year member of the Smith Grange. He enjoyed woodworking and wood crafts and had an extensive hammer collection of which he was very proud. Chuck is survived by his wife, Carol (Ameser) Feess Dennis whom he married on October 17, 2001; step daughters, Betty Stanley of Niles and Denise Aeling of Alliance: step sons, Richard (Sybil) Burson of Goletta, CA, Daniel (Lucinda) Feess of Alliance and David (Ardie) Feess of Millersburg; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Mr. Dudley. Preceding him in death was his wife, Helen (Wolford) Burson Dennis on November 18, 2000, whom he married on February 14, 1961; a step daughter, Judith Burson; his parents, Wilmont M. and Margaret (McClurg) Dennis; a sister, Wilma E. Patton; and two brothers, Walter E. Dennis and Harry W. Dennis. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at 11:00 a.m with the Rev. William L. Gross officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
