Charles A. Beltz's Obituary
Charles A. Beltz, 58, of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at his home surrounded by his family. His death follows a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Canton on September 10, 1945, Chuck lived in the Alliance and Louisville area most of his life. A 1964 graduate of Marlington High School, Chuck was employed at T & W Forge as a heat inspector. Charlie enjoyed buying and fixing houses and singing karaoke his way with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (Wiegreff) Beltz; two sons, Chuck II of Alliance and Tony of Charleston, S.C.; two daughters, Lisa Jenkins of Charleston, S.C. and Shelley Carlton of Charleston, S.C.; three step-children, Robert Messerschmidt of the US Army, Fayetteville, NC, Cindy (Dale) Messerschmidt-Vlasak of Minnesota, and Terri Messerschmidt-Wilson of Louisville; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six brothers, Bill Beltz of S.C., Art Beltz of Alliance, Tom Beltz of Alliance, Joe Beltz of Alliance, Jim Beltz of North Canton, and Larry Beltz of Alliance; two sisters, Cheri Davidson of Alliance and Mary Krauss of Cincinnati; and several nieces and nephews. Papa will be deeply missed by Mandie and Kelsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rita (Weyer) Beltz; and his daughter, Lori. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, June 4, 2004, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 4, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery .
