Cecilia E. Miller's Obituary
Cecilia E. (Jenior) Miller, 93, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at her home in Alliance.
Born on October 28, 1929 in Randolph, to George and Gertrude (Lang) Jenior, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
A 1948 graduate of Randolph High School, Cecilia was employed with the former Ohio Bell Telephone Co. as an operator and with the former Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Co. in Oakland, CA. as an overseas operator.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Cecilia was a cookbook collector and enjoyed crocheting, camping, and playing cards with family. She received her “15 minutes of fame” with Kujo on Good Morning America.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Mark) Franks of Homeworth; her two sons, George (Linda Irons) Miller of Alliance and Richard (Marybeth) Miller of Ravenna; six grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, Sgt. Devin, Michael, Marlene and Nathan; eight great-grandchildren, Logan, Baylee, Mya, Milia, Wyatt, Teagan, Jonathan and Kennedy; a sister, Mary Huth; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death her husband, Richard Miller, whom she married on June 4, 1955 and who died on November 27, 2004; two brothers, Francis and Bernard; and two sisters, Rita and Martha.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. G . David Weikart, as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
