Cecil W. Drayer's Obituary
Cecil W. Drayer, 91, of Atwater, died on Monday, December 10, 2007, at 12:45 a.m. at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. A lifelong resident of the area, he was born in Limaville on February 22, 1916. Mr. Drayer was a member of the United Church of God in Massillon. Cecil retired from the Tolerton Lumber Company, where he was employed as a saw operator for 27 years. He is survived by a daughter, Marlene Ware of Alliance; a son, Noel Drayer of Alliance; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his wife, Mary (Kline) Drayer on June16, 2001, whom he married in 1938; a daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Frank; his parents, Lester and Grace (Lair) Drayer; and a sister, Wanda Fargo. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Christopher Moen of the United Church of God of Massillon officiating. Interment will follow at Marlboro Cemetery.
