Cecil M. Click's Obituary
Cecil M. Click, 91, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at 2:50 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Cottageville, West Virginia on March 31, 1911, he moved to Alliance in 1942 from Point Pleasant, West Vriginia. He retired from American Steel Foundry and had previously worked at the Alliance Clay Products until it's closing. He attended the Salvation Army Church. He is survived by his wife, Edith (Tuttle) Click, whom he married on July 16, 1952; seven daughters, Nellie Canterbury and Roma (Weldon) Brown, both of Portland MI, Barbara (Roger) Dimit, Linda Berry, Kathy (Les) McBride, Christine (Mike) DeLane, and Pat (Oak) Phillips, all of Alliance; two sons, Kenneth (Virginia) Click of Portland, MI, and Ted (Joann) Click of Alliance; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Stella Sayer of Evans, WV.; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his daughters, Bonnie O'Neil and Rosalie Click; his parents, Edward L. and Mary Jane (Baker) Click; and three brothers, Harry (Bud) Click, Arville (Pete) Click, and Jacob Click. Cecil was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He made each of his children and grandchildren feel very special. He was also known for his great sense of humor. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, April 11, 2002, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. with Major Cathryn Russell of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
