Catherine R. Skolosh's Obituary
Catherine R. (Frank) Skolosh, 95, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at her home in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on July 18, 1929 in Alliance to Otto and Marie (Gulling) Frank, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
Catherine was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Funtastics, Altar & Rosary Society and Infant of Prague Guild.
Catherine was Ward Secretary at Alliance Community Hospital for many years.
Catherine enjoyed reading and playing cards and dominos, visiting with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was especially devout in prayer. She was often teased about her obsession with cellist Stjepan Hauser.
Survivors include her five daughters, Joan Edwards of Alliance, Cathie Bixler of Alliance, Trish (Bill) Coldwell of Cuyahoga Falls, Dianne (Sam) Schuette of Alliance and Susan (Tony) Sabatino of Port St. Lucie, FL; three sons, John P. Skolosh, Michael A. Skolosh and David C. (Stephenie) Skolosh, all of Alliance; 25 great-grandchildren; 16 grandchildren; two sisters, Marlene Smith and Vivian Krabill, both of Alliance; her brother, Paul (Flo) Frank of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, John J. Skolosh, whom she married on October 22, 1949 and he died on November 30, 1994; her grandson, Brent Bixler; her son-in-law, David Edwards; three sisters and six brothers.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
