Catherine C. "Casey" Lyberger's Obituary
Catherine C. "Casey" Lyberger, 84, of Alliance, died on January 14, 2014 at 5:31 a.m. at Sterling House of Alliance. Born on December 16, 1929 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance all of her life and was a member of St. Paul s Lutheran Church. Casey was the Class Valedictorian of Alliance High School, January class of 1948. Miss Lyberger had previously been a secretary at the former Ellis & McDonald Plumbing Co. for 11 years of service and later retired from the Star Bronze Co. after 47 years of secretarial service. In her past-time, she enjoyed needlework, her cats and especially spending time with her family. Survivors include her brother Ray J. Lyberger of Alliance; sister-in-law, Ruth Lyberger of Alliance; 8 nieces & nephews, Sandra Beach, Carol Hampu, Nancy Lyberger, Susan LeBlanc, Fred H. Lyberger, Jr., Jerry Collette, Charles Collette and Bonita Collette; and several great & great-great nieces & nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry Sherrick and Mabel M. (Messenheimer) Lyberger; 3 brothers, Harold J. (Thelma) Lyberger, George N. (Helen) Lyberger, and Fred H. Lyberger Sr.; half sister, Helen Collette; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Lyberger. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Her funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery
