Catherine I. Geiselman 's Obituary
Catherine I. (Samblanet) Geiselman, 88, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 4:20 am at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.
Born on January 6, 1927 in Louisville, Ohio to Charles E. and Magdalene (Frank) Samblanet, she lived in Alliance and Maximo for all of her life.
A 1945 graduate of Louisville High School, and was of the Catholic Faith.
She was employed at Fraternal Order of the Eagles Club in Alliance and member for over 30 years, and a past member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 362.
Catherine enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre and also liked embroidering and working word search puzzles.
Survivors include three sons, Mark Geiselman of Louisville, OH, Ronald (Doris) Geiselman of Maximo, OH, Bruce Geiselman of CA; four grandchildren, Scott, Bryan, Angela, Adam; five great-grandchildren, Abby, Emma, Ava, Cash, Leah; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her ex-husband, John F. Geiselman, who died on March 18, 2006; her parents, Charles E. and Magdalene (Frank) Samblanet; her four sisters, Irene Moulin, Zelda Marie Samblanet, Helen Pauline Samblanet, Rita Samblanet; and a brother, Richard Samblanet.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am, with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, Pastor of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
