Catherine P. Buhn's Obituary
Catherine P. (Brunori) Buhn, 88, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 26, 2024 while residing at Danbury Senior Living - Sanctuary Grand in North Canton, Ohio.
Born in Alliance on August 16, 1935 to Carlo and Yola (Carli) Brunori, she graduated from Alliance High School in 1953 and remained in Alliance until recently moving to North Canton.
Early in life, in addition to being a homemaker, Catherine was a telephone operator with Ohio Bell and later was employed by Service Master for over 10 years as a housekeeper.
Catherine was also an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. During elections, she and her husband volunteered as election workers.
Catherine was an excellent seamstress, loved crafting, gardening and growing violets, collecting Hummels, and baking Christmas cookies and sharing them with family, friends and neighbors.
She married her husband, Walter R. Buhn on November 9, 1957 and they were married for over 64 years before his death on February 12, 2022.
Survivors include daughter, Carla (Jeff) Sturm of Massillon, OH; son, David A. (Jennifer) Buhn of Westerville, OH; granddaughter, Taylor (Kaleb) Devaul; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Walter R. Buhn; mother, Yola Brunori; and father, Carlo Brunori.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. G. David Weikart as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Following the burial, the family will host a gathering at the Swartz Center behind St. Joseph’s Church.
