Catherine Ann (Maldoven) Behneke's Obituary
Catherine Ann (Maldoven) Behneke, 62, of Murrells Inlet, SC, and formerly of Alliance, died on January 19, 2005, in Charleston, SC, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Alliance on October 28, 1942, Catherine lived in Alliance for 18 years and then lived most of her life in Virginia and South Carolina. She retired with 25 years of service as a Claims Reviewer with the Department of Labor in Washington, DC. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Behneke of Winchester, VA, son, Rick Behneke of Murrells Inlet, SC, and son, Greg Behneke of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Jeff Behneke, Jr., and Alyssa Behneke, both of Winchester, VA; a sister, Ruth Maldoven of Alliance; a sister-in-law, Pat Maldoven of Woodville, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Pat Maldoven of Surfside Beach, SC; and many nieces and nephews. Catherine was preceded in death her parents, Nick and Artina (Trombitas) Maldoven; and one brother, Robert D. Maldoven. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Rebecca Innerst of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park
