Carolyn Ferlotti's Obituary
Carolyn Ferlotti, 74, of Alliance, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 1:15 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center. Born on November 23, 1938 in Alliance, she lived here all of her life. She was a 1956 graduate of Alliance High School and enjoyed their monthly breakfast get-togethers. She retired after 40 years of service from Columbia Gas Co., of Ohio, where she was a dispatcher. Miss Ferlotti was of the Roman Catholic Faith and was an Associate of the Dominican Sisters of Peace in Akron since 1988. Carol was blessed with the gift of ministering to the elderly and visiting the sick in nursing homes. She also enjoyed reading, watching old black & white movies, going to the casinos and spending time with her nephews and niece. Survivors include a brother, Philip (Kay) Ferlotti of Alliance; her nephews and niece, Michael, Chip & Marsha; her lifetime friend Melinda Matthews; and her cousins, Ron & Corliss Vuksta. Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles & Mary (Sineri) Ferlotti, a nephew, Mark S. Ferlotti, who died on October 24, 2011; her aunts, Sr. M. Philip, O.P., Angela Vuksta and Nellie Gang, and her uncle, Joe Ferlotti. As per Carol s request, a private service will be held for the family. There will be no calling hours. Following cremation, interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
