My sister Eileen and I were fortunate to meet Caroline and Ron when they twice hosted the St Johns High School class reunion at their beautiful home. Our father, Jack Mulligan was a classmate and friend of Ron. Both were such welcoming beautiful people. The gardens were unbelievable and their obvious love for each other was tremendous. I married into the Van Dress family 27 years ago, and it was my good fortune to spend many happy hours in the company of Caroline and Ronald. Caroline was one of the most loving, intelligent, and cheerful women I have ever known. We shared a love of foreign languages and reading, and every year when my husband and I visited Ohio, I looked forward to having a few moments with her alone to hear her stories about the family and to benefit from her wisdom. I am deeply saddened by her passing and cannot believe that she is no longer with us. The world has lost a very special and unforgettable woman. Caroline, je t'aime beaucoup.
