Carol Mae "Nana" Christen's Obituary
Carol Mae "Nana" Christen, 68, of Alliance, died on Sunday, February 17, 2008, at 12:18 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born on April 21, 1939 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of her life. A 1957 graduate of Alliance High School she was a loving mother and homemaker. Mrs. Christen attended Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She was an Indians fan and an avid bingo player. Carol is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Christen whom she married on October 21, 1957; two daughters, Colleen (Thomas) Senk of Wethersfield, CT and Lori (Don) Blackmon of Alliance; and three grandchildren, Andrew Senk, Missy and Todd Blackmon. Preceding her in death was a grandson, Richard Edward Blackmon; her parents, William and Helen (Clayton) Kunkle; and a sister, Patricia Goshorn. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Burial followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
