Carl A. Moore, Sr.'s Obituary
Carl A. Moore, Sr., 96, of Alliance, died on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 2:40 p.m. at McCrea Manor. He was born on May 28, 1914 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance most of his life. A veteran of WWII, he served our country in the U. S. Army and was a Life Member of the American Legion Post 166. Carl was the owner of Moore s Body and Glass Shop, the Magic Car Wash, and after retirement, he owned Bud s Used Car Lot. Mr. Moore was a member of the Masonic Temple Conrad Lodge, the Tadmore Shrine, the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton and the Go Jo Unit, which he started. He was also a Life Member of the BPO Elks, the Loyal Order of the Moose, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Carl is survived by his son, Thomas J. (Irma) Moore of MS; a daughter, Sheila (John R.) Williamson of Alliance; a daughter-in-law, Barb Moore of Akron; 9 grandchildren, Carl A. (Kandice) Moore III of Alliance, Eric L. Moore and Ronald M. Moore, Tamara Miller, April Moore, Tracy Moore, and Amey Moore all of FL, Tiffany and J. Jason Stephens of Damascus, and Crystal and Darrick Miller of Homeworth. Preceding him in death was his wife, Anna Vargo Moore; a daughter, Sherry Ann Moore; two sons, Carl A. Moore, Jr. and Ronald B. Moore; his parents, Asa B. and Anna (Hart) Moore; and a sister, Edna Moore Daniels. A memorial service will be held in the later part of May. There are no calling hours.
