Buddy R. Young's Obituary
Buddy R. Young, 64, of Canton, died on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Aultman Hospital. Born on February 6, 1948 in Alliance, he lived in the Alliance and Canton areas all of his life. He attended Alliance High School, and retired from the R.G. Drage Vocational School, where he was employed as a custodian and most recently worked at the Canton Regency. In his past-time, he enjoyed gardening, classic cars, traveling, spoiling his three dogs, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Because of his wish to be an organ donor, many people will benefit from his generosity. Survivors include his wife, Wendy (Small) Young, whom he married on August 17, 1991; a daughter, Kristi (John) Golden of East Canton; two sons, Steven Pittman, Jr. of Canton and Zachary (Katie) Pittman of Medina; three grandchildren, John Golden, Andrew Pittman and Kiley Pittman; a sister, Teri (Mike) Dailey of Rexford, MT; and two nieces and a nephew. Preceding him in death were his parents, Jack and Mildred (Messenheimer) Young; and a brother, Jack Young, Jr. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. His funeral service will begin at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Gantz officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
