Bruce W. Geiger's Obituary
Bruce W. Geiger, 95, of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 1:30 am at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio.
He was born on August 11, 1927 in Alliance, was a graduate of Alliance High School and lived in Alliance for most of his life.
Bruce attended the Minerva Presbyterian Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving our country in the U.S. Navy.
Bruce was a mechanic at JBold Motors and retired from LTV Steel in Canton after 30 years of service.
He was a member of the Homeworth Lions Club serving in many offices and was a member of the American Legion Post #166.
Bruce enjoyed watercolor painting, assembling models, riding motorcycles, yardwork and planting flowers.
Survivors include his three sons, Dana W. (Karen) Geiger of Melbourne, FL, Michael (Artie) Geiger of Homeworth and Robert (Lou Ann) Geiger of Etna, OH; and a daughter, Connie (Brian) Stoudt of Minerva. After joining families with Ardella in 2003, he had the privilege of becoming the father to Jerry Jordan of Canton, Dick (Nancy) Jordan of Burlington, VT, Daniel (Donna) Jordan of Evansville, IN; and Joy Yacklin of Minerva. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Sydney L. and Hazel M. (Rhue) Geiger; wife, Ona L. (Catlett) Geiger, whom he married on July 19, 1954 and passed away on August 27, 2002; and his most recent wife, Ardella (Brown) Geiger who passed away on October 30, 2022.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm with Rev. Kathryn Ophardt, of Minerva Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
