Bruce Courtney's Obituary
Bruce D. Courtney, 82, of Alliance, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
Born on March 13, 1941 in Raymondville, Missouri to Leonard and Von (Johnson) Courtney, he lived in Alliance most of his life.
A 1960 graduate of Alliance High School, he attended St. Joseph Church.
Bruce was employed at Ohio Bell as a Lineman for over 30 years and made many friends along the way.
He was a member of B.P.O. Elks, Lodge #467, the Dante Alighieri Society, Louisville Fraternal Order of Eagles # 2374, and the Sleepy Hollow Country Club.
Bruce enjoyed golfing with his good friends, Ernie, George, Butch along with all his friends in the Sleepy Hollow Golf Club.
He also enjoyed being outdoors and working in his yard, classic and muscle cars, and especially loved going out to dinner and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy (Paone) Courtney whom he married on August 13, 1960; two daughters, Kim Courtney of Louisville, KY and Renee (Frank) Stancato of Louisville, OH; his son, John (Ann) Courtney of North Canton; grandchild, Ross (Teresa) Pusateri; and great-grandson, Felix McGeeney; a brother-in-law, Harold Black; and two nephews.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Kelly L. Courtney; brother, Robert Courtney; sister, Shirley Black; and his parents.
Private services will be held.
