Knowing the Bixler famiy was a great joy to me. I was one of the caregivers for Bruce at Aultman Hospital. The first time we ever met I knew he was a great man. Always smiled even though he had many rough days..... I could write paragraphs and paragraphs but I will keep this short and say that my husband and I are sending thoughts and prayers to your family Gardi, you are a strong woman. Bruce will be missed.

Our most sincere condolences to Jim, Josh and the entire Bixler family. Bruce always seemed a very gentle, good-hearted individual and the aviation world is a sadder place with his absence.
To the whole Bixler Family. Our hearts go out to you at this time of sorrow. I first met Gardi at the maternity ward while caring the twins. We knew the family later thru school. What beautiful family! I know your heart is aching now but there are so many wonderful memories to fill that heart. My husband has fought cancer and now is on kidney dialysis for kidney failure. We know the struggles a family goes thru when a loved one is so ill. May our Great Lord surround all of you with His loving arms and give you comfort. I knew Bruce, via Gardi. Better FRIENDS = no one could hope for! Bruce and Gardi, even in the worst of winter weather, would spend their time, gas, and efforts selecting, and delivering, our groceries, when my mother couldn't be left alone, nor taken out. (Some of those times, Bruce surely couldn't have felt that well.) How did the Bixler children, and grandchildren, ALL turn out = to be so-o-o CARING?! Witnessing BRUCE's, and GARDI's, hundreds of acts of kindness. Bruce Bixler's legacy, to this world, is the FINEST any Father could have achieved. PAX
I will always remember the many times Bruce and I did registration together at the Taylorcraft Fly-Ins...He was always smiling and knew every person and their plane...There are no words I can say to ease your pain,but please know he will always be remembered.
Life is so short. Bruce and the whole family were a great addition to our extended family. We met through Aviation and he brought his whole family to the airport many times. There is not enough space to recall all the good times. I know Gardi and the kids & grand kids will still visit and we will recall many great moments. Our condolences to all!!
