Brian K. Finley's Obituary
Brian K. Finley, 63, of Alliance, died on Friday, August 9, 2002 at 7:10 p.m. at his home. Born in Alliance, on March 1, 1939, he lived all his life in the Alliance area, graduating from Alliance High School in 1957. A Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army, he was employed at Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing where he had worked for over 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Edna Marie (Carmany) Finley, whom he married on December 14, 1963; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Jo and Martin Kevin Abbe of Atwater; a son, David Brian Finley of Alliance; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Jim Watson of Salem; a brother, Vernon Scott Finley of Seattle W A; a granddaughter, Savannah Marie Buck; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his parents, Kue and Serena J. (Shank) Finley; and a sister, Shirley Ann Lacher. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Peters, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
