Brandon Common's Obituary
Brandon Michael Common, 44, of Minerva, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
Born on September 5, 1979 in Alliance, Ohio to John and Linda (Corbi) Common, he lived in the Minerva area most of his adult life. Growing up in Gurnee, Illinois, he graduated from Warren High School in 1997.
Brandon worked in Landscaping and spent several years with Campbell’s Landscape in Canton.
Finding out he had a keen eye for valuables, his hobby of metal detecting and collecting antiques turned into resale and his most recent venture.
An avid fan of sports, he was devoted to his Chicago Bears, Bulls, and White Sox.
He loved getting out on the golf course but, just as much as the game, he loved the heckling & beers with his Dad, Uncles, and Cousins on the greens!
Fondly called Uncle B by his nephews, Brandon loved his family and never met a stranger. His acts of kindness spread far and whether you were 3 or 93 he could engage you and make you laugh. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Kan of Peninsula; his father, John (Susan) Common of Minerva; two sisters, Trista (Sherry) Camodeca of Peninsula and Jianna Common of Minerva; three nephews, Rocco, Dominic and Jackson; a niece, Charlie; and several cousins.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Frank (Annette) Common and Frank (Agnes) Corbi; stepfather, Michael Kan; aunt, Cindi Corbi; uncles, Frank Corbi, Mickey Common, Dickie Common, and Jimmy Common; and cousins, Erik Harris and James Common.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Erik Frank Harris Foundation.
