Bonne S. (Boardley) Stauffeneger's Obituary
Bonne S. (Boardley) Stauffeneger, 64, of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at 1:20 p.m. at Aultman Hospital. Born on March 12, 1948 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance all of her life. A 1966 graduate of Marlington High School, she was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving our country in the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Stauffeneger was a member of the American Legion Post #166, where she served as their first female Commander. She was also a member of the Alliance Lions Club and was employed at Spitzer Ford in Hartville. In her past-time, she enjoyed playing computer games. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jeb and Becky Boardley of Alliance; twin sister, Bette Meir of Sebring, sister, Mary Jo Cunningham of Alliance and sister, Kimberly Danner of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Stauffeneger on April 19, 2006, whom she married on April 6, 2002; her parents, Woodrow and Helen (Ring) Rhoads. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Peters officiating. Interment with military honors will be provided at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society, 5100 Peach St. N.E., Louisville OH 44641. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
