Beverly J. Franko's Obituary
Beverly Jane Franko, 76, of Alliance, died on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Aultman Hospital. Born on December 30, 1932, in Alliance, she was a graduate of Alliance High School, and lived in Alliance all of her life. She was a member of St. George Romanian Byzantine Catholic Cathedral and a former member of the First Christian Church in Alliance. Beverly retired from Kaufmann s, where she was employed as a retail sales associate for 19 years. She was a member of the Alliance Elks Ladies Auxiliary. In her past-time, she enjoyed flower gardening, beach vacations and spending time outdoors with her family. She is survived by her husband, Ernest "Ernie" Franko whom she married on June 7, 1953; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Johnnie Maier of Massillon and Cathy and Ken Hoffman of Massillon; a son, Mark Franko of Alliance; four grandchildren, Ken Hoffman, Ryan & his wife Amanda Hoffman, Johnnie Maier III and Natalie Maier; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ed DeGraw of Dover; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Maxwell. Preceding her in death were her parents, August "Chappie" and Winnefred (Erisey) Chapple; and a sister and brother-in-law, Alyce and Richard "Bud" Brown. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a Saracusta service at 8:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Ovidiu Marginean and Rev. Msgr. Gregory Duma of St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral officiating. Interment will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park.
