Beulah K. Taylor's Obituary
Beulah K. Taylor, 92, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 12:10 p.m. at Pleasant View North Retirement Center in Damascus. Born on January 2, 1920 in Millport, OH, she lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a member of the Vine Street United Methodist Church and a member of the AARP. Mrs. Taylor was the maid at the Firestone Mansion in Bath for several years and had retired in 1983 from the Keener Rubber Co. In her past-time, she enjoyed crafting, gardening and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Parma Jean (Larry) Walsh of Beloit; a son, Tom (Kathleen) Reid of San Diego, CA; grandsons, Christopher and Blake Reid, Brent Karlen, Aaron Walsh; one granddaughter, Stephanie Jo Altieri; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Perry Kireta of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Howard D. Taylor on October 17, 2006, whom she married on January 22, 1983; a daughter, Judy Karlen; a grandson, Daniel Karlen; her parents, Joseph and Eva (Gabrich) Kireta; two sisters, Mary Smith and Mildred Hodge; and six brothers, Edward, Samuel, John, Nick, George and Milan Kireta. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Hospice Chaplain Larry Karlen, officiating. Interment will follow at Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Millport, OH. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
