Betty Wallace's Obituary
Betty J. Wallace, 96, of Homeworth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 12:40 am at Sheila's Haven Assisted Living in Beloit.
Born on August 1, 1926 in Homeworth, to Floyd and Opal (Keister) Wallace, she lived in Homeworth all of her life.
Betty was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in North Georgetown.
A 1943 graduate of Minerva High School, she also attended Liberty Business College.
She retired from Ohio Bell in 1985 with 30 years of service as a Customer Service Representative. She had previously worked at McCaskey Register and for Dr. Weaver. She was a member of Ohio Bell Pioneer’s Club.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, going on vacation to the New York World's Fair, California, Hawaii and many trips to Disney with her family. Her favorite vacation was her trip with her mother to Switzerland in 1992. She loved taking care of her nieces, nephews and extended family.
Survivors include two nieces, Sheryl Dean and Lori Wallace; three nephews, Ronnie Lee Wallace, Dann Haynam and David Haynam; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Ellen Wallace, Ruth Ann Haynam and Marge McCallum; her brother, Kenneth L. Wallace; a niece, Karen McMaster; and a nephew, David McCallum.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
