Betty J. Tanner's Obituary
Betty J. Tanner, 84, of Alliance, died on Friday, September 9, 2011. Born on August 17, 1927 in Alliance, she was raised here and was a graduate of Alliance High School. She had lived in Arizona for 40 years and had recently moved back to Alliance. Betty enjoyed playing bridge, reading & traveling, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Leslye (Gerry) Durenda of Alliance, and Sheila Tanner of Saline, MI; one son, James Tanner of AZ; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband of 53 years, Robert E. Tanner; her parents, Gus and Sophie (White) Adolphson; two sisters, Marie Pingstock and Ruby Cracknell; and one brother, Nils Adolphson. Private Funeral services will be held. Interment will take place at Alliance City Cemetery.
