Betty Passerini 's Obituary
Elizabeth "Betty" M. Passerini, 71, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
Born on May 19, 1945 in Massillon, Ohio to Fred and Alice (Haas) Berens, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
A 1963 graduate of Central Catholic High School, she also graduated from Timken Mercy School of Nursing as an LPN, where she served in their pediatrics unit.
Betty was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member of their choir, and served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of Knights of Columbus #558, Ladies Auxiliary and the Trentino Alpine Club.
Survivors include husband, Tarcisio "Terry" Passerini of Alliance, OH, whom she married on June 28, 1969; four sons, Anthony (Kris) Passerini of Davis, CA, David Passerini of Pickerington, OH, Daniel (Carrie) Passerini of Massillon, OH, and Stephen (Nancy) Passerini of Massillon, OH; nine grandchildren, Isabella, Elianna, Christian, Rylie, Mario, Madison, Maddalena, Nicholas and Olivia; two sisters, Doris Ann Peters and Mary Alice Rooney, both of Massillon, OH; brother, Robert (Linda) Berens of Massillon, OH; sister-in-law, Wanda Berens of Massillon, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Fred and Alice Berens; and a brother, Fred Berens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, with Msgr. James Kolp, as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
