Betty Moore's Obituary
Elizabeth “Betty” (Offenbecher) Moore, 80, of Alliance, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 2:33 am at her home with her family at her side.
Born on October 18, 1934 in Alliance, Ohio to Martin and Esther (Davia) Offenbecher, she lived in Alliance for all of her life.
Betty was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A 1952 graduate of Alliance High School, she attended Mercy School of Nursing in Canton.
She was employed at Perskey's / Sparkle Grocery Store as a cashier and retired from South Lincoln School Cafeteria. She was a member of Dante Alighieri Society.
She loved working in her yard, gardening and growing flowers. She enjoyed playing Euchre, but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Whitey Moore, whom she married on April 3, 1954; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy & Mike Manese of Indian Harbour Beach, FL and their children: Nick, Nate & Natalie; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby & Diana Moore of Alliance, OH and children: Jessica, Robby & Shawna; daughter & son-in-law, Lynn & Bill Fast of Alliance, OH and their children, Jarrod, Kylene & Joe; son, Chuck Moore of Tacoma, WA and his children, Ryan, Olivia & Alex; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, William “Bill” (Loretta) Offenbecher of Alliance, OH and Tom (Polly) Offenbecher of Homeworth, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Martin & Esther Offenbecher.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
