Betty J. Crison's Obituary
Betty J. Crison, "The Purple Lady", 88, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. Born on April 11, 1924 in Atwater, Ohio, she lived in the Alliance area all of her life. A member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church, she was a retired Legal Secretary after working for several area Lawyers. In her past-time, she enjoyed playing cards, traveling and collecting vintage costume jewelry. Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Michael) Drumm of Madison Hts., MI and Sheree Crison of Alliance, OH; two sons, Craig Crison of Alliance, OH and Chris Crison of Alliance, OH; 3 grandchildren, Justin, Kyle & Joshua; 3 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Danielle, and Alexander; a brother, Jodi Cox of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Howard Crison on November 4, 1990; her parents, Joseph Cox and Emma (Shank) Cox-Kuklo. Her memorial service will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park Chapel on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Coralee Cox, Pastor of Union Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow. There are no calling hours.
