Betty L. Beck's Obituary
Betty L. Beck, 79, of Alliance, died on Sunday, June 9, 2002, at Altercare of Alliance. Born in Salem, on April 26, 1923, she had lived in Alliance all of her life. She was a former nurses aid at Bel-Air Nursing Home and did home health care work. She was a member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene, the Women's Christian Club and also of the AARP. Survivors include three daughters, Carol Jean Hale, Janet Louise Vogus, and Pamela Rae Savage, all of Alliance; six sons, twins Waldo Keith Beck of Alliance and Wilbur Curtis Beck of Indianapolis, Calvin Charles Beck of Leetonia, Dale Edgar Beck, Ronald Leroy Beck, and Larry Dean Beck, all of Alliance, 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and six step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Jefferson Keith Beck who died on March 30, 1999, (whom she married on November 11, 1939); and her parents, James Richard and Pearl Cora (Munsell) Rodgers; brothers, Delbert Rodgers and Leroy Rodgers; and sisters, Hazel Aelisch and Mary Hahn. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12, 2002, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Ketterman, of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
