Bethene Mae (Allen) Salaski's Obituary
Bethene Mae (Allen) Salaski, 79, of Community Care Center of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 2, 2006, at 12:30 a.m. She was born January 13, 1927 in Salem to Joseph Brook and Pearl (Regal) Allen and had lived in Alliance for more than 40 years. Mrs. Salaski graduated from Augusta High School in 1945 and formerly worked for the Minerva Wax Paper Co. She attended church at The First Assembly of God where she was a Sunday School teacher and pianist. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Brian Hoffman of Louisville; step-children, John Salaski & David Salaski, both of Alliance and Cynthia Salaski of Phoenix, Arizona; sister-in-law, Lois Harrell of Minerva; and beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Martin Allen and Robert Harrell; and her husband, John Salaski, whom she married on November 17, 1962, and passed away May 7, 2004. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 5, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Ping officiating. Interment will follow at Palmyra Cemetery. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. John 11:25
