Bernice "Bea" Trombitas' Obituary
Bernice E. "Bea" Trombitas, 93, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 5:20 a.m. at Stonespring Transitional Care Facility in Dayton, Ohio. Born on May 17, 1920 in Volant, PA, she lived in Alliance most of her life. Bernice retired from Perskey s Grocery Store as a Cashier and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary #6730 and the United Steelworkers Retirees, serving as the Sunshine Lady for many years. In her past-time, she enjoyed cooking and baking and had a great love of flowers. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Loving survivors who will miss her dearly include two daughters, Barbara Gaggini of Springdale, PA and Karen (James) Davidson of New Carlisle, OH; two sons, Robert (Angela) Frederick of Hickory, NC and Harry (Barb) Trombitas of Dublin, OH. Her much-loved grandchildren include Susan, Gregg, Steven, David, Brian, Mark, Jim, Jeff, Doug, Matt & Kristen; and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Sean, Dominic, Nathan, Makayla, Daniel, Anna, Marcus, Jimmy, Kristen, Joseph, Nick, A J, Brian, Jay & Will; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Charles R. Frederick, and her second husband, Harry Trombitas; her parents, John and Mary (Gorgacz) Govern; four sisters, Nellie Stanfield, Helen Jakubie, Julia Gross & Anna Govern, who died in infancy; and five brothers, Joseph, William, Louis, Stanley & Edward Govern. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Matthew M. Mankowski, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
