Bernice M. Lyberger's Obituary
Bernice May (Stryffeler) Lyberger, 81, of Alliance, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at 8:20 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on December 18, 1932 in Paris, OH, she lived in the Alliance area all of her life. She was a graduate of Alliance High School and was a member of the Alliance Baptist Temple and of their Jolly 60 s Club. She retired from the Ohio Bell Telephone Co, where she was employed as a Operator for 30 years. In her past-time, she enjoyed gardening, yard work and bowling and had been a member of the Swinging 60 s Bowling League. Survivors include her husband, Ray J. Lyberger, whom she married on April 12, 1971; two sisters, Doris (Bob) Wagner of Alliance, OH and Irene Dawson of Canton, OH; two brothers, Louis (Winifred) Stryffeler of Malvern, OH and Floyd (Virginia) Stryffeler of Canton, OH; a sister-in-law, Jane Stryffler of Alliance; and several nieces nephews; several great nieces & nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Howard and Olive (Benner) Stryffeler; a sister, Shirley McGeehen; and four brothers, Robert, Virgil, Norman & James Stryffeler. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, January 13, 2014, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Randy Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
