Berdine Flickinger's Obituary
Berdine Flickinger, 87, of Alliance, died on Monday, April 14, 2003, at 1:07 p.m. at Great Trail Care Center in Minerva. Born in Alliance on June 3, 1915, she had been a resident of Alliance all of her life. She was a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ. She is survived by a sister, Esther V. Farmer of Solon; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Jacob and Anna (Bergmann) Flickinger; three sisters, Irene Flickinger, Laura Armstrong and Freda Newton; two brothers, Jacob Flickinger and Albert Flickinger; and two half brothers, John Sparren and Carl Sparren. Funeral Services will be held at the Alliance City Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, April 17, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Neal Mann, officiating. Burial will follow. There are no calling hours. The Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
