Barbara L. Robertson's Obituary
Barbara L. (Vahl) Robertson, 86, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Alliance Community Hospital.
Born on April 9, 1930 in Helena, Montana to Frederick and Lillian (Stuart) Vahl, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
She and her husband, Alex J. Robertson, were married in St. John’s Cathedral in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 4, 1954.
Barbara is survived by her husband and children, Christopher Robertson, Barbara (Mark) Chastain, Alex (Daniella) Robertson, and Shawn (Erin) Robertson; grandchildren, Jessica Robertson, Jack Chastain, Clare Chastain, Blake Chastain, Alexander Robertson, Ashley Robertson, Molly Robertson, Bridget Robertson, Colleen Robertson and Owen Robertson.  Preceding her in death were her parents.
She attended and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Union College in 1952.  Following graduation, Barbara worked as an assistant buyer for Sterling,Linder,Davis in Cleveland, Ohio, Julius Garfinkel in Washington, DC and the Parisian in Canton, Ohio.
Barbara was member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, the Alliance Women’s Club and the Alliance House & Garden Club.  She enjoyed working with stained glass, flower arranging and snow skiing.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri as celebrant.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Holy Cross Academy, Regina Coeli/St. Joseph Campus.
