Arthur H. Oblisk, Jr.'s Obituary
Arthur H. Oblisk, Jr., 76, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 5:50 a.m. at Altercare of Alliance. Born on April 23, 1937 in Akron, he lived in Cuyahoga Falls for most of his life. Art was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. In his past-time, he was an avid fisherman, enjoyed wood-working and had been a Scout Master for many years. Survivors include his sons, Arthur G. (Leanna) Oblisk and Christopher (Diana) Oblisk; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Margie Gesch; brothers, Bud Oblisk, Dale Gillis, Carl Gillis, Norman Gillis and Willie Gillis; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Bonnie J. (VanHorn) Oblisk,, whom he has deeply missed; his mother, Margaret (Lowman) Oblisk Gillis; his father, Arthur H. Oblisk, Sr., and a brother, Jerry Oblisk. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. There will be no funeral service.
