Arthur P. Frank's Obituary
Arthur P. Frank, 77, of Alliance, died on Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Akron General. A lifelong resident of the Alliance area, Mr. Frank was born on May 8, 1927. He had been employed at Republic Steel for 25 years as a stationary engineer and retired from SanCap Abrasives, Inc. after 21 years of service. Arthur was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo and served in many ministries including lay minister, parish councilman, Altar and Rosary Society, usher and chairman of the church festival. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Smith) Frank whom he married on September 8, 1962; five daughters, Loraine (Bradley) Frank-Lightfoot of Akron, Linda (Rick) Yohman of Green, Lisa (Paul) Powers of Mentor, Loretta (David) Beule of North Canton, and Laura (Christopher) Jones of Orrville; eleven grandchildren, Alex and Spencer Lightfoot, Courtney and Tyler Yohman, Frank, Deaglan, and Liam Powers, Nicholas, Daniel and Michael Beule, and Katherine Jones; four sisters, Sister Helen Mary Frank of Canton, Catherine Skolosh of Alliance, Vivian (Donald) Krabill of Alliance, Marlene (Jesse) Smith of Alliance; six brothers, Bernard (Helen) Frank of Beloit, Edward (Mildred) Frank, Richard (Pauline) Frank, Robert (Mary) Frank, Paul (Flo) Frank, all of Alliance, and Harold (Judy) Frank of Homeworth; sister-in-law, Katherine (Edward) Fletcher of CA; brother-in-law, Jesse (Marlene) Smith of Alliance; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Marie (Gulling) Frank; and two sisters, Margaret Brown and Rita Resh. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Ungashick as celebrant. Internment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
